Newly installed Rheem outdoor condenser unit on a concrete pad behind a Chicago home

Central air, condensers & ductless

Comfortable, reliable cooling at an affordable price

When summer heat becomes overwhelming, your home should be a place of comfort. We install, replace and repair residential air conditioning systems with a focus on dependable performance, honest pricing and long-term efficiency.

What we service

Everything under this roof, handled by one crew.

  • Central air conditioning systems
  • Condenser units
  • Air handler cooling components
  • Refrigerant and airflow issues
  • Thermostats and control problems
  • Ductless mini-split installation

If your AC isn’t cooling properly, running constantly, making unusual noises, or increasing your energy bills, we carefully diagnose the issue and provide straightforward, cost-effective solutions — without unnecessary upselling.

Our priority is simple: restore comfort to your home quickly, efficiently, and at a price that makes sense.

Call us when you notice this

Your AC is telling you something. Here is what it means.

Cooling problems almost never appear out of nowhere. The system usually warns you for weeks first — and the earlier we look, the cheaper the fix tends to be.

It runs but the house never gets cool

Usually low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty coil restricting heat transfer, or an undersized system fighting an unsealed attic. We measure before we guess.

The unit runs constantly

Continuous runtime means the system cannot reach setpoint. That burns compressor life and shows up on your bill long before it shows up as a breakdown.

Short, frequent cycles

Turning on and off every few minutes points to an oversized unit, a failing control, or a restricted return. Short cycling never fixes itself.

Grinding, screeching or rattling

A failing fan motor or compressor bearing has a sound. Catching it early is a part replacement instead of a whole condenser.

Water where water should not be

A clogged condensate drain will back up into ceilings and drywall. It is a cheap fix now and an expensive one after the stain appears.

The bill jumped without a heat wave

A system losing efficiency draws more power for the same result. That trend line is the best early warning you will get.

Installation & replacement

Sized to the house, not to the invoice.

Most oversized systems in Chicago were sold on the idea that bigger cools faster. It does the opposite: the unit satisfies the thermostat before it ever pulls humidity out of the air, so the house feels cold and clammy and the compressor wears out years early.

We calculate the load for your actual building — square footage, window area, insulation depth, orientation and duct condition — and install the unit that matches it. Then we verify airflow and temperature split before we leave.

  • Load calculation before equipment selection
  • Condenser set level on a proper pad or bracket
  • Line set, disconnect and whip installed to code
  • Airflow and temperature split verified on start-up
  • Old equipment and refrigerant removed responsibly
  • Thermostat set up and explained to you

Repair & diagnostics

We find the cause, not just the symptom.

A recharge that fixes the problem for one season is not a repair — it is a countdown. If refrigerant is low, there is a leak somewhere, and we find it before adding anything.

You get the diagnosis in plain language, the repair cost and the replacement cost side by side, and an honest read on whether the unit is worth putting money into. Then you decide.

  • Leak detection before recharging
  • Capacitor, contactor and control board faults
  • Blower and air handler issues
  • Frozen coils and airflow restrictions
  • Thermostat and wiring problems
  • Same-day service on most cooling calls

Ductless mini-splits

Cooling for the rooms ductwork never reached.

Attic conversions, sunrooms, additions, converted garages, third floors that bake every August — these are rooms where running new duct is expensive or impossible. A ductless head solves it with a three-inch hole and no duct loss at all.

Each zone gets its own thermostat, so you stop cooling empty rooms to make one room livable. They heat as well, which makes them a strong answer for spaces the furnace never quite serves.

  • Single and multi-zone systems
  • Additions, attics and converted spaces
  • Quiet operation for bedrooms and offices
  • Independent temperature control per room
  • Heating and cooling from the same unit
  • Clean line-set routing and exterior finish
